EverFit General Description

EverFit is a physical therapy and fitness center, and the fitness center caters to anyone ranging from those with minor/major conditions to the level of professional athletes. Our strength training equipment is very similar to standard weight machines, although more user friendly. The machines are air-powered, which is a much smoother, constant resistance, and the resistance can be changed on a digital display in increments of 1 lb at a time, instead of moving pins in the weights. Our cardio equipment includes treadmills, elliptical trainers, bikes, and Nustep machines, and we also have a station designed specifically for stretching. Additionally, we offer some exercise classes, and a schedule can be found under “classes and programs” on our website.

We are owned and operated by a physical therapist, and we take special care to treat each member as an individual, and offer guidance as needed. Our fitness staff consists entirely of certified personal trainers, and there is always a trainer covering the floor for supervision, and to answer any questions for members. If you are interested, we would love to give you a tour and further information at your convenience. Call (856) 829-0015 to schedule a visit!

EverFit Membership Includes
A standard membership includes full access to our facility 7 days a week (see “Fitness” page for normal operating hours). As a member, you are entitled to three workouts over the first month with a personal trainer, during which your entire program will be written out for you, including machine settings, resistance and duration. You will also be allowed a workout with a trainer every 6 weeks of your membership, which you can use to make modifications to your program over time. Also, you will have full access to most exercise classes (unless an additional fee is otherwise specified) and are subject to reduced “member” rates for EverFit programs such as personal training, weight management, etc.

We are owned and operated by a physical therapist, which is one of the major factors that differentiates us from other fitness facilities. If you have a history of certain injuries or medical conditions that have kept you from success in the past, or if you find yourself with a new condition or injury, you are entitled to a screening with one of the physical therapists for no extra charge (A $150 Value!) What to Expect the First Month

Initial Tour & Sign-up
Although we welcome walk-in’s, you are more than welcome to schedule a visit by calling (856) 829-0015. This will ensure that someone is expecting you, and will be available for a tour and questions for as long as you need.

During your first visit, you will have the option to tour the facility, and a trainer will answer any questions you have about a membership. He or she may ask some general questions about your goals and your exercise and medical history, and will be able to address any concerns you may have about your ability to complete an exercise program successfully.

If you decide you would like to join, you will then be asked to fill out some paperwork. If you would like to get a head start on some of the paperwork you will be asked to fill out, please feel free to download and fill out the following forms, and bring them with you to your first visit. Also, if you are seeing your doctor in the near future, and would like to first consult with him/her about beginning a program (highly recommended), you may bring the “medical clearance” form with you, and the doctor can record any special instructions or concerns right at that moment. Otherwise we will fax the form to your doctor directly from our center.

Once you have completed your paperwork, you will be scheduled for your first workout with a personal trainer. If you have a recent or recurring medical issue or injury, you may be initially scheduled with one of our physical therapists for a screening before beginning your exercise program. This initial screening would be included in your membership for no extra charge.

First Workout
*Although we follow the same general guidelines described below for each new member, there may be some alterations based on the individual style of each personal trainer, and the individual goals and history of each member.

When you come in for your first workout at EverFit, you will first receive general assessments and screenings before exercising. We will always take a blood pressure and resting heart rate, and offer you the option of height, weight, body composition, and/or inches measurements. These measurements simply serve as a baseline that can be used for comparison at a later date.

Once you are warmed up, you will be introduced to several resistance exercises, the amount of which will depend on your exercise experience and comfort level with each activity. Afterwards, you will be able to choose the same or another cardiovascular machine, and the trainer will guide you as to duration and intensity based on your goals. At the end of your workout, you will do some light stretching, and then the trainer will schedule you for your second workout within a week or week and a half of the first. All exercises will be written out for you along with settings for the machines, resistance, and repetitions.

The initial session usually takes approximately an hour. Once you are scheduled for your second session, you will be encouraged to attend as many times as possible in the first week between the first and second session with the trainer to practice what you have learned so far. You will not be officially on a trainers schedule for these visits, but will have access to a trainer for general questions and guidance as needed.

Second Workout
The second workout will consist of a review of the first workout, usually with additional resistance exercises taught at the end. The trainer will also begin to discuss how you will progress your resistance over time based on weights and repetitions for each exercise. The trainer may also begin to discuss heart rate during cardiovascular exercise, and what your individual target should be, and how long you should maintain that particular level.

This session usually lasts anywhere from 30-45 minutes, depending on each member’s individual learning curve. At the end of the session, you will schedule your third workout with a trainer for approximate 1 ½ to two weeks in the future. Again, try to attend as many times as possible on your own between the second and third workout.

Third Workout
By the third workout, you should have almost a full program. Again, the trainer will review everything you have learned so far, and will determine if your form is still correct, and if you will be ready to progress on your own once finished with training. The trainer will add the last few exercises at this point, and will answer any questions you have about the future of your program.

Most members are extremely comfortable with their program by the third workout. If you or your trainer feel you need an additional session for maximum safety and effectiveness, we will schedule an additional follow-up to make sure you are completely confident that you will be able to complete your program safely and independently.

All you have to do to be successful in an exercise program at EverFit is get yourself through the front door. We will take care of the rest!!
